Where We Are .... West Wales
West Wales is an ancient land, that has been populated since Neolithic times and abounds with evidence of man living here in harmony with the land for thousands of years. We have the only coastal national park in the United Kingdom which reflects the unique quality of our cliff walks and beaches and underpins a strong tourism based industry. There are a remarkable range of out door activities from kayaking, to coastering, walking and surfing.
We have a strong mixed agriculture, from dairy and sheep to potatoes and grain. In amongst the modern agricultural machinery, Pembrokeshire boasts a strong and growing organic community and a substantial number of people living sustainably on the land.
Pembrokeshire, though essentially an old and still stronghold of Welsh speaking people, has seen an influx of 'incomers' as they are called today, and is on one of the ancient pilgrimage routes to Ireland.
You will find a warm welcome in the homes of West Waliens and an invitation to join us and share your life experience.
