Aberaid is a refugee community support group set up in Aberystwyth by 6 working mums in the summer of 2014.We have raised £26000 since then to help the crisis areas overseas, and towards developing a resettlement plan to sponsor our first family to come to live in Aberystwyth and to join the other Syrian refugees living there.

We are also about to start a Friday lunch club for refugees and volunteers to help support integration and make friendships, and build oncommunity goodwill and support by further fundraising for charities andvolunteers working in the crisis. The Unity in Diversity group runs twice-weekly sessions that provide food, support and learning opportunities to asylum seekers and refugees in the Swansea area.
