Croeso Teifi: like our neighbouring Croeso teams in Pembrokeshire, we are taking part in the Community Sponsorship scheme and fundraising to bring Syrian refugee families to our area: Cardigan.

Aberaid is a refugee community support group set up in Aberystwyth by 6 working mums in the summer of 2014.We have raised £26000 since then to help the crisis areas overseas, and towards developing a resettlement plan to sponsor our first family to come to live in Aberystwyth and to join the other Syrian refugees living there.

We are also about to start a Friday lunch club for refugees and volunteers to help support integration and make friendships, and build oncommunity goodwill and support by further fundraising for charities andvolunteers working in the crisis. Formore information please see our Facebook page -

Displaced People In Action

Displaced People in Action (DPIA) is a registered charity that has been helping displaced people (refugees and asylum seekers) integrate into their new lives in Wales since 2001.

Swansea City of Sanctuary

Swansea City of Sanctuary is part of a national movement which builds a culture of hospitality and welcome, especially for individuals seeking sanctuary from war and persecution.

Share Tawe

To offer hospitality, in the form of accommodation, meals, welcome and solidarity to destitute asylum seekers in Swansea. We do this through volunteers who offer a room in their home, or who support the scheme in other ways.

Unity in Diversity

The Unity in Diversity group runs twice-weekly sessions that provide food, support and learning opportunities to asylum seekers and refugees in the Swansea area. Run entirely by dedicated volunteers we have helped over 500 people of 40+ nationalities/ethnic origins in its 5 years of fun and cooperation.
